A 39-year-old woman and her daughter's fiance, who had eloped recently, were released by Aligarh police after being detained for two days. The couple, who had been on the run for 10 days, surrendered to authorities. They maintain their relationship is committed and that they intend to marry, despite the protests of the woman's family, who demand her return and the restitution of jewelry and money.
